The device is characterized in addition to its activity AIS receiver with integrated 2-channel receiver for simultaneous reception of the two AIS frequencies by its array of connectors.
Per WiFi the received AIS data can be transmitted to a mobile terminal. By means of an AIS-compatible app that can be displayed on the navigation here.
Thanks to the HDMI connection, a large screen or a TV set can be used for display. An integrated AIS software raspAIS processes the data accordingly.
A mobile terminal can also be used without AIS-compatible app for display. With a free app, it is possible to mirror the display on the mobile device. These only IP and port information must be entered in the raspAIS mobile device.
Based on a powerful Raspberry Pi® it is possible also to use the raspAIS as a multimedia center on board. Many USB ports allow the use of USB mass storage devices with video, audio and image files. In addition, the raspAIS has a 3.5 mm AUX-out jack to use headphones.
